It’s Utensils Down for Tasting Australia 2019.

Tasting Australia is your passport to the premium, unprecedented eating and drinking experiences that only South Australia can offer.  Be it a collaboration among world-class chefs, an intimate tasting of beer, wine or spirits or an evening soaking up the flavours and aromas of Town Square, Tasting Australia is a unique and moreish food and beverage experience.

The 2019 Tasting Australia festival finished on a high with a record number of over 57,600 people making it to the festivals hub, Town Square. Tasting Australia’s Town Square was the eating and drinking hub of the festival, with five bars servicing wine, craft beers, cocktails and coffee and 14 food vendors selling a range of small plate dishes (did we mention the BEST Chicken and Chips we’ve ever had at Jock’s Chook Shack?).  Food wasn’t the only form of delicacy at Town Square with the GLC and X-Class V6 on display at the Mercedes-Benz Adelaide & Unley activation.

What a scrumptious 10 days it was, from the Glasshouse to Mayura Station and every bite in between. As premier partners of Tasting Australia, we were able to offer Mercedes-Benz Adelaide & Unley customers exclusive experiences including Glasshouse Fire, Glasshouse Nouveau, Bill Larks World of Whisky Masterclass and Tasting Australia Airlines to Mayura Station.

Tasting Australia Glasshouse Kitchen is one of Tasting Australia's most-loved and sought-after experiences. In the Glasshouse Kitchen, the world’s best, Michelin-starred and our country’s hottest chefs converged to create one-off menus and inimitable dining experiences. Each line-up was hand-picked by Tasting Australia’s creative team – Simon Bryant and Jock Zonfrillo – bringing together game-changing talent with South Australia’s premium produce. Our customers experienced Glasshouse Kitchen Fire, cooking with wood, smoke, coal and fire with a feature Fire pit designed by Jock Zonfrillo and Glasshouse Kitchen Nouveau, a modern take on classic French Cuisine.

Tasting Australia Airlines was a chance to experience the best of South Australia's picturesque regions in a day trip. After just a one-hour flight from the city, we landed in Mount Gambier and soon pulled up to the gates of Mayura Station; an award-winning Wagyu beef station renowned for uncompromised quality and truly delicious fare. This mouth-watering experience was made only more unique by one of the country's most talked about chefs, Jock Zonfrillo's (Orana, Adelaide), Mark Wright (Mayura Station, Millicent) and surprise guest culinary expertise.
